"Just wanted to let everyone know what a great job Jake De Leon did for us when we really needed it. Our well pump had broken during the Feb. winter storm, and we'd been waiting weeks without water — other plumbers either didn't return our calls or didn't have well pumps. The very first day we called Jake, he said he'd come out that evening — and he came around 9pm and worked until almost midnight to get a pump installed and working, for a very reasonable price too. Call Jake if you're looking for an honest and hardworking plumber or well expert."
"Jake and Meghan came out late evening to help us replace our booster pump and then returned to repair some piping that was on back order a week or so later. Totally recommend Jake DeLeon! Honest, punctual, and a great family and Christian man. I know he worked well into the hours of the night during the freeze just because he wanted people to have water!"
"This is the only plumber I would ever use. He has helped me out on three really bad situations at all different times of the day and night — during the freeze when nobody else would help, and on July 4th at 7:30 in the morning he came over to fix a water pipe when I was out of town. Make sure you call him if you're looking for a plumber."
"I am highly impressed with Jake DeLeon. He is fair priced, qualified, and an honest plumber. After many experiences with shady plumbers, I feel confident I have finally found the right one. Please don't hesitate to call Jake with all your plumbing needs."
"I agree 100%! Jake came out and replaced broken pipes on our booster pump. Great service, fair price — I highly recommend Jake!"
"He helped me with a clogged kitchen sink when there was NO WAY any plumbing company was going to come out or return my calls. Jake is your guy for all your plumbing needs!"
"Jake recently came out to repair a leak at my home and I couldn't be happier with the service. He quickly identified the problem and repaired it. While he was there, he also noticed a couple of other items in need of replacement and took care of those before they became bigger issues. Professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. His pricing is fair and I appreciate his honesty and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Jake to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy plumber."
Honest answers to the questions we hear most from Hill Country homeowners.
Low water pressure is one of the most common calls we get in the Hill Country. On a well system, it usually points to a failing well pump, a waterlogged pressure tank, or a pressure switch that needs replacing. On a city-water line, it can be a partially closed shutoff valve, a clogged pressure regulator, or mineral buildup in older pipes. Either way, don't ignore it — what starts as low pressure often turns into no water at all. Call us and we'll diagnose it the same day.
Common warning signs include: pressure that fluctuates or spikes, the pump running constantly without building pressure, air sputtering from your faucets, a clicking sound from the pressure switch, or simply no water at all. If you're on a well and notice any of these, it's worth getting it checked before you're completely without water. Well pumps don't always fail all at once — catching it early usually means a repair rather than a full replacement.
A pressure tank (typically 20–120 gallons) sits near your pump and uses an air bladder to maintain water pressure in your lines without the pump running constantly. A storage tank is much larger — often 500 to 2,500 gallons — and stores a reserve supply of water, which is especially valuable on rural Hill Country properties where well flow rates can be low. Many properties benefit from both: the storage tank fills from the well, and a booster pump and pressure tank deliver it to the house at the right pressure. We install and service both.
A few things can cause this. The most common is a thermostat set too low — water heaters are often set to 120°F from the factory, but if yours has drifted lower or was turned down at some point, that's an easy fix. Beyond that, a failing heating element (on electric units), a worn-out burner or thermocouple (on gas units), or heavy sediment buildup in the tank can all rob you of hot water. If you're running out of hot water faster than you used to, the tank itself may be undersized for your household or nearing the end of its life. Tankless water heaters are a great solution for homes that constantly run short — we install and service both.
Cost depends on the type of pump (jet vs. submersible), the depth of your well, and what else needs to be addressed (pressure tank, wiring, etc.). We give you an upfront, itemized price before any work begins — no surprises. What we can promise is that our pricing is fair and we won't upsell you on parts you don't need. Call us and describe what you're experiencing; we can usually give you a ballpark over the phone and confirm with a same-day visit.
A running toilet is one of the most common plumbing problems and also one of the most wasteful — it can silently add hundreds of dollars to your water bill. The culprit is almost always inside the tank: a worn flapper that no longer seals properly, a float set too high so water constantly overflows into the overflow tube, or a faulty fill valve that won't shut off. These are generally inexpensive parts, but if you're not comfortable replacing them yourself, we can have it fixed quickly on a same-day visit. Don't put it off — a running toilet can waste over 200 gallons of water a day.
We're based in Boerne and serve the greater Texas Hill Country including San Antonio, Fair Oaks Ranch, Comfort, Helotes, and the surrounding Kendall and Bexar County areas. Not sure if we cover your area? Give us a call — if we can make it to you, we will.
First, locate your main shutoff valve and turn off the water to stop any flooding or damage — on a well system, you can also switch off the pump breaker. Then call us at (210) 286-7570 and we'll get to you as quickly as we can. Don't wait on a burst pipe or major leak — water damage gets expensive quickly.
Hard water is extremely common on well systems in the Texas Hill Country. The signs are hard to miss: white crusty buildup around your faucets and showerheads, soap that won't lather well, spots on dishes and glassware, stiff scratchy laundry, and water heaters and appliances that wear out faster than they should. Over time, mineral buildup also coats the inside of your pipes and reduces water flow. A water softener solves the hardness by removing calcium and magnesium through an ion exchange process. If you also have iron in your water — which turns fixtures orange or rust-colored — a dedicated iron filter is usually needed alongside the softener. We can test your water, recommend the right system for your home and well, and handle the full installation. Treated water is easier on your plumbing, your appliances, and your skin.
